How do we love thee (our pets) let us count the ways.
I chose a variation on the Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s poem because I felt that our connection to our pets has transformed to this level, especially here in the U.S.
They are so much a part of us. We have taken them more now as part of our families. And in some cases they are our only family. We play, entertain, pamper, feed, clothe, talk, medicate, walk, hospitalize, groom, travel, massage, surprise and gift them. We even give them birthday parties! Besides joy and unconditional love do these other family members bring anything else to the table, so to speak? Studies have shown that cats and dogs have helped to lower blood pressure for those with hypertension. Walking our dogs assists with calming our nerves and can almost bring instant relaxation.* And there is more. According to Josephine M. Wills, Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition, United Kingdom, pets provide people with faithful companionship and psychological stability, thus a measure of protection from heart disease. Other known benefits are allowing us to fight depression and loneliness.
Therefore it should come as no surprise that our pets are not only getting the benefits of living in 21st century America but also the problems associatd with it. They are now getting the same maladies as ourselves. And many of the same treatments as well. We spent approximately $50 billion on our pets in 2011 of which $25 billion went towards veterinarians and OTC (Over The Counter) medicines.** Dogs and cats took the lion’s share of those monies.
As with us these OTC’s bring a multitude of side-effects to our beloved pets. So, many of us are looking for much less invasive approaches where possible. Alternative therapies for pets therefore has grown a lot over the last 50 years. Due to our indulgences and love for our pets, veterinarian acupuncture in the U.S. is now benefitting them too,
Let me quickly explain what acupuncture is for the unitiated. In the narrowest sense, acupuncture is the application of small very fine needles to various points on the body for the purpose of eliciting physiological responses. It influences, adjusts and balances our energy flow to allow the body to help itself. It seems especially useful for relieving pain. In a broader sense, acupuncture is an ancient procedure used in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for the treatment of bodily conditions. Its practice is over 3000 years old and has had billions of people who have used it and benefitted from it. Veterinarians are now effectively applying those same acupuncture principles to our beloved pets.
So now I am going to take you to the future. This is the next phase in assisting our pets bodies to help themselves by helping their bodies to return to balance using the same principles of Qi, and meridians but without being invasive. That future is here today!
What I am about to tell is not science fiction, but real 21st century science applied to what acupuncture has been doing for generation upon generation. What the iPod is to the record or the CD, this product is to acupuncture. In the literal sense you now have the extremely high portability of an iPod, iPhone, iPad, with a product that works like acupuncture but without having to use needles. In fact, it is even more portable than any of those great products.
Now get this, it is a product that does not use drugs, is non-transdermal (meaning nothing enters the body) and it has no side-effects. And, you can use it for many of the same issues that us humans use it for. Yes, if your dog or cat has pain, you can use this product. If your pet has allergies, your pet can use this. If your pet has energy issues, you pet can use this! Sorry, I left out you equine lovers. Yes it will work for them too. Now both you and your veterinarian have another great tool!
Oh, what is the product? It is a holographic chip that utilizes intrinsic energies that communicate with our bodies. The company’s name is Cieaura. So how do you love your pet? Just add this to the the many ways: We play, entertain, pamper, feed, clothe, talk, medicate, walk, hospitalize, groom, travel, massage, surprise and gift them and now put a holographic chip on them.
Care to know more about the science of this phenomenal 21st century product many are calling “needle-less acupuncture?”
